School Holiday Plan, anyone?
It’s school holiday again. What do I plan to do? Nothing.
MrNordin is busy at work. Tak habis-habis lah dia ni busy dengan kerja dia, kadang2 sampai dah naik bosan dengar dia bercerita pasal kerja. Even when he’s talking to me, I know his mind wanders elsewhere.
Look, I’m not being unsupportive. I know how stressful he is right now. But can’t you just take a break from work? Can’t you just detach yourself from all the worries and have a peace of mind, at least for a short while?
If he’s at the office, memang I malas nak call because I know he won’t focus on what I’m saying as his eyes will be glued to the PC screen. But when at home, he’ll be busy answering his e-mails on the Blackberry pulak. At the dining table, work will be his main topic of conversation. If not, he’ll have very little to say.
Sigh… I wish I could have the old MrNordin back. The one who could steal an extra hour or so in the afternoon to have lunch with his wife. Or the one who could leave office earlier than usual to meet the wife at KLCC for drinks after work.
Anyway, this posting is not about him. It’s about the school holidays.
How I wish I could be walking on a beach somewhere right now instead of sitting here in this freezing cold office. The weather is just so gloomy outside. I wish I’m in Terengganu or Krabi where I could just stroll along the beach, playing circles in the sand, with no cares for this world.
SW is in Terengganu. My friend Haslina is in Krabi. MrsNordin? She’s still stuck in KL.
I want to go on a holiday!!!
Can someone take me, please?
Ideally, my holiday would be one where we would drive to a beach destination in the East Coast. We'd stop by at any private beach with chalets fronting the sea, put down our luggage and run to the sea. There must not be many people around, I don't like crowd. My children would be playing with the sand or taking a dip in the sea while I would be sitting under a coconut tree watching my husband flying a kite...
Ohh.. how wonderful! If only my husband would have the time for this...

Bj..you cakap tu macam cerita drama jer...best jer jalan cerita tu...masa dok berehat tu..tetiba abang you datang bawak oren juice ke...ajak tukar swimming suit..then go swimming...adoi,,kan best macam tu..tapi kita ni dok melekat kat PC ni...nak nangis jer rasa nya....
Memang rasa nak nangis!! I guess I miss him too... that's why.
Kan best kalau sekarang ni kita duduk tepi laut sambil minum teh o ais. Di temani angin sepoi-sepoi bahasa.... aaahhh.... if only I could...
Akak tak ada plan pegi mana2 ke? Ke sibuk menjahit? Hee.. hee...
Am also stuck here, Haq tengah banyak kerja and Yusof has extra classes..but am happy just to wind down at home....yg berterabur books everywhere, I tak kemas lagi...after the people came to paint the house two months ago! Btw , bought two pj's on sunday...Haq had enough of my kaftan...going to get some more soon!
Ahhh...bab hubby tak dak masa nak go on hols ni biasa lah. I'm one of those ppl yang have stopped yearning for a holiday during school hols. Kalau nak harap gi places yang dekat-dekat ni, tak payah lah...surely he'll call ask to cancel. Excusesnyer meeting lah, tender comm meet lah.
So..I have gotten smarter. Nak book...alang-alang pi jauh-jauh. That way I know he cannot chicken out!!!
Have you tried Gem Beach Resort kat Terengganu. Very quiet and a bit out of the way. The rooms are ok lah since you won't be spending so much time indoor pun, right?
My kids love the place because selalunya bila we check in, there is no other guest. So they felt that the resort belongs to mak bapak dia orang...heheh!
You've been busy, huh? Nak cakap pun susah lah dengan you ni!
Bought new PJs? That's nice. Sure tidur makin nyenyak ni!
Here, in Sandakan his lady boss, single mother mmg call everyday tanya psl kerja & even sms once tanya Ketua Setiuasaha Kerajaan in Eng apa? Really sickening. His phone rings non-stop...
NEway cuti seminggu je so many parents malas nak buat any plans...
I pun dah terkena a few times. Book holiday, sekali kena cancel last minute sebab tender meeting lah, townhall session lah, entah apa2. I suppose, work takes priority for them, huh?
Oohhh.. baru balik dari Lumut...
We all pun suka jugak pegi Lumut tu, tapi dah lama tak pegi. There's one place we like to visit, Teluk Rubiah. Akak should check it out sometimes.
Bila kita nak jumpa balik ni?
No, I've never been to Gem. Will check it out.
Thanks!!
I think the lady boss saja mengada. Dia tak tahu ke you are there with Shahrul?
I would make sure I only call for something very important because segan nak kacau my staff kalau spouse dia ikut. Hai... macam2 perangai manusia.
Best ke Sandakan tu? Apa yang menarik?
So wanna go or not? I'm going alone. Chepul will join me only towards the last couple of days. Besides the adventure, you boleh jugak beli Pakistani rugs and Pashmina scarves... Nak tak?
Oh yes, congrats to Nadira & both parents, good job!!
Mimi
Islamabad? Err... Dhaka pun I belum sampai lagi, nak ke Islamabad.
Thanks, but no thanks.
Kalau sebut pasal kerja, memang tak habis2. We should meet up again one of these days, at Craven ke... dah lama tak jumpa!
I pun macam you juga, tak suka pergi tempat-tempat yg banyak crowd - lemas. Tapi musim cuti sekolah ni, nak-nak kalau weekend, memang lah crowded. Kalau nak peace and quiet, lagi best duduk rumah.
We all pun this holidays tka ke mana pun ( ke mana means stay overnight).
Konon alasan sb ada yg nk ambik SPM, but the truth is the parents are just too busy. Cuma ada lah gi PD last Sunday to see the eagles (ref: my blog). Saturday tu pun gi wedding kat Raub.
Esok nk naik Fraser's Hill je lah, turun Saturday - got wedding to attend to. Sat night anak i balik KB. Sunday hantar adik dia balik SDAR.
Tapi so far the kids are happy je kat rumah - sb ada PS2, PS3 and Wii.
I janji nk ajar anak i add maths pun tk sempat lagi :-(
Next weekend (28th) kena balik Kelantan lagi. Personally, i dah lama tak de free weekend at home. I kira2 i'd have 5 weekends in a row (incl yg dah lepas) yg tak dok rumah! Balik2 mlm... Letih lah!
Today pun kerja, patutnya tak kerja....
I want to do something fun, that's all. Kalau duduk rumah, tengok TV je lah jawabnya... boring!
You have certainly lived up to your name. Busy sokmo...!!
